Step 1
The first step is to determine eligibility (see Funding Guidelines). If the criterion is met, fill in the information requested in the Grant Request Information section below. This serves as a letter of inquiry and provides the necessary information needed by the review board. |
| |
Within one week, the organization will be contacted regarding the status of the request. Either a username and password will be given to submit an application or the request is denied. |
| |
Step 2
The second step is to complete the application and forward it, with information requested, to the Foundation. It is important to be concise and provide the information in the order it is requested. |
| |
The trustees review applications five times a year, January, March, May, August and November.
|
| |
Step 3
A site visit may be requested. A representative from the Foundation will contact the organization to set a date.
|
| |
Step 4
After an application has been reviewed at a board meeting, an acknowledgment regarding the status of the application is mailed.
The acknowledgment states whether the request has been accepted or rejected, the amount awarded, the project being funded and the timing of when the grant will be mailed.

| |
Step 5
After the program or project has been implemented, the Foundation requiresa completed
Robert and Joan Dircks Evaluation form.
|
| |
Incomplete applications are returned. |
| |
Additional grant requests for subsequent years require the same procedure. |
